The Boston Celtics snapped a two-game losing streak on Friday night, defeating the New Orleans Pelicans 117-109. Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 23 points, followed by Jaylen Brown with 20 and Marcus Smart with 19.

Celtics Hit 20 3-Pointers

The Celtics shot the ball well from behind the arc, hitting 20 of their 46 attempts. Tatum led the way with six 3-pointers, while Brown and Smart each hit four. The Pelicans, on the other hand, were just 6-of-26 from 3-point range.

Celtics Defense Holds Pelicans in Check

The Celtics defense was also impressive, holding the Pelicans to just 42% shooting from the field. Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 21 points, but he was just 8-of-19 from the field. Brandon Ingram added 19 points, and CJ McCollum scored 17.

Celtics Win Ninth Straight

With the win, the Celtics improved to 12-4 on the season and extended their winning streak to nine games. The Pelicans fell to 8-8.
